Playing in the Rain

The rain was coming down, so we decided to gear up and have a little wet fun. Once the boys got used to having wet socks, they really had a lot of fun splashing and racing leaf "boats" in the rain gutters. Check out how the camera captured the splashes below.

Firemen in Training

A few weeks back the boys got to go to a birthday party and a real firetruck came! They got to climb all over it and check it out. They both had a blast and got souvenir hats!

Caterpillars

Caleb has found a new hobby and passion. Every chance he gets he wants to go outside to the yard and catch caterpillars. Armed with his red bucket, be gently picks them up off the fence and the trees. He talks to them and keeps them company, and checks on them throughout the day until we release them that evening. He also likes to catch the ladybugs in the yard. I think his record is 32 caterpillars and 2 ladybugs in his bucket.

Ninja Cow

I had no idea cows could be this agile. Be warned, if you don't like seeing people getting kicked you won't want to watch this. The guy seems ok though.

Mountain Cabin Trip

In the thick of tax season, Emily and the boys decided to get away for a little while and went up to join her parents in Boone at their mountain cabin. The weather was cold that weekend, but the boys discovered walking sticks, a great new park at the bottom of the mountain, and the candy store near the park. They did a lot of exploring in the yard that weekend.
