When we were talking about this the other night, I wondered if any good ever came from such displays of depravity. The obvious answer: no. But I was still at a loss for a good solution. I just thought of one, however. Don't fine'em. Fire'em. Ban them from baseball forever or at least for a complete season. This would be a better incentive to stick to their basic job description. Some say it's just part of baseball, but does it have to be?
