Vatican - St. Peters Basilica - Rome
We went in St. Peters. It was remarkably light inside for a cathedral. It was very ornate and beautiful. Allegedly, Peter's remains are under the altar. The church was built on top of his traditional burial spot. We also saw the sistine chapel, but you are not allowed to take photos. It was pretty, but hard to appreciate because you had to crane your neck to see it and it was so far away. I'm glad we went, but I would get more out of looking at a book on the sistine chapel than looking at the real thing.
